Academics – Cambridge International Curriculum

Checkpoint 1 to 3

Stella Maris International School follows the Cambridge guidelines for this level focusing on 3 core subjects, namely: English Language, Mathematics and Science. We continue to create a well rounded student by offering other subjects such as History, Geography, Business Studies, Portuguese Language and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and Accounting that the children are exposed to and study.

IGCSE 1 & 2

This is the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) group. At this level we offer such subjects as English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Business Studies, Geography, History, Portuguese and Computer Studies. Upon successfully writing and passing their examinations at the end of IGCSE 2, students can then proceed to the Cambridge Advanced Subsidiary (AS) or the Advanced (A) Level studies.

Cambridge AS & A Levels

These are the Cambridge Advanced Subsidiary and Cambrigde Advanced Level courses. Subjects offered are Mathematics, English, Business Studies, Information Technology, Geography, Accounting, Biology Chemistry, Physics and Portuguese.
